HOW DOES A SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT WORK?
The Silhouette Instalift is an innovative PDO (polydioxanone) thread lift that lifts and rejuvenates the mid-facial skin by addressing sagging and volume loss – in essence, it's a non-surgical facelift. What sets Silhouette Instalift apart is that it incorporates micro-cones which can provide an immediate lifting result while boosting your skin's production of collagen and elastin. PDO threads were first used in heart surgery because they dissolve over time as the body absorbs them. When used as a cosmetic procedure, these threads are inserted just under the skin in targeted locations and then gently pulled to lift and tighten the skin. You get the benefit of an instant lifting effect and firmer, tighter, and healthier-looking skin as the threads dissolve and boost collagen and elastin.

A Silhouette PDO thread lift in Dover, OH at Fine Arts Skin & Laser begins with you being comfortably seated in one of our private treatment rooms. Your skin will be cleaned and prepped. Then a local anesthetic is used to numb the treatment area to ensure your comfort. According to your treatment plan, your skin will be marked with dots to note where your PDO threads will be placed. We will then weave the threads just under your skin while gently pulling them tight to lift your skin. After we're done, the PDO threads are massaged into place. A typical Silhouette Instalift takes about 45 – 60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. There is no downtime, so you'll be able to return to your regular activities immediately (although you may need to avoid strenuous activities for about a week).
